Mike enters his second year as the equipment manager for the Aces, having previously served in similar posts at Bridgeport (AHL) and Columbia (ECHL).  He and his wife, Mandy, an employee of Play it Again Sports, live in downtown Anchorage, having relocated from their native Philadelphia.  Burkhead attended Ohio State University and earned the nod as National Conference equipment manager for the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game in Ontario, California.
