ACES FALL TO DEVILS 5-2

ETHAN COX LOANED TO AHL PORTLAND

Alaska Aces rookie forward, Ethan Cox has been loaned to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League, Aces Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Saturday.  Cox has played in all 16 games for the Aces this season, and has been a solid two-way player for the club.  Cox will join Portland immediately.  The Pirates will be in Manchester on Friday and Providence on Saturday for a pair of road games to close out the week. GOLDIE REACHES 300 IN 5-3 ACES WIN

Wes Goldie had a two-goal night, including his milestone 300th ECHL goal to help the Alaska Aces come back for a 5-3 win over the Elmira Jackals met on Friday night from the First Arena in Elmira, NY.  Goldie’s pair begun a four-goal third period, and lifted the Aces to a two-game split with Elmira.  The Aces improved to 10-5-1 on the year, and 7-2 on the road this season. COLEMAN, ACES BLANK GRIZZLIES 5-0

No comeback was needed on Saturday night as the Alaska Aces rode a three-goal third period, and Gerald Coleman turned aside 31 shots for his ECHL-leading, third shutout of the year in a 5-0 victory over the Utah Grizzlies at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City.  The Aces record improved to 9-4-1 on the year, and moved into sole possession of first place in the Mountain Division.  They Aces swept the pair in Utah, to begin their eight-game road trip, and are now 6-1 on the road this season, with four of those wins coming via shutout.  Alaska will now travel to the East Coast [READ MORE]

PETIZIAN REJOINS ACES, NORTON WAIVED

ALASKA DROPS TIGHT ONE TO ONTARIO 2-1

CHAD ANDERSON LOANED TO LAKE ERIE

ALEX PETIZIAN CALLED UP BY PORTLAND

Alaska Aces goaltender Alex Petizian has been activated off of the injured reserve list, and called up by the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League, Aces Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Wednesday morning.  Petizian spent training camp in Portland earlier this season.  The Pirates, who are the affiliate of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabers, are in Charlotte on Wednesday and return home on Friday to host Adirondack.
