HAPPY NEW YEAR! ACES BEAT REIGN 5-3

Scott Howes had two goals and an assist, and the Alaska Aces got timely scoring on Friday night to extend their ECHL-best winning streak to seven games with a 5-3 win over the Ontario Reign at Sullivan Arena.  The Aces improved to 18-9-1 on the year and 7-1 on their current home stand.  The Aces will return to face the Reign on New Year’s Day at 7:15pm. LANGKOW SELECTED TO ECHL ALL-STAR TEAM

Alaska Aces rookie forward, Chris Langkow was named one of 15 ECHL All-Star reserves on Thursday morning, the league announced.  Langkow will be the Aces lone representative in this season’s 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic, presented by CCM on January 26th in Bakersfield.  The new format of the All-Star Game this year will pit a team comprised of 21 players in the ECHL against the Bakersfield Condors.  The Aces are currently on an ECHL-best, six-game winning streak, and will return to face the Ontario Reign on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.  Both games begin at [READ MORE]

ALASKA COMPLETES SWEEP OF IDAHO WITH 3-1 VICTORY

Wes Goldie’s first hat trick with the Alaska Aces was part of a season-high, offensive outburst Wednesday night as the Aces blew out the Stockton Thunder 8-3 at Sullivan Arena.  The Aces set highs for goals, power-play goals, goals in a period, and goals by a player in the lopsided victory.  Alaska scored five power play goals, including four on one major power play in the first period to set the tone of the game. ACES SLIP PAST SALMON KINGS 3-2 IN SHOOTOUT

COURCHAINE, ACES BLANK STEELHEADS 3-0

ACES DROP TIGHT ONE IN IDAHO 2-1

ETHAN COX RETURNED TO ACES FROM AHL
