COURCHAINE NAMED GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

COURCHAINE RECALLED TO PROVIDENCE

Goaltender Adam Courchaine has been recalled to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League by the NHL’s Boston Bruins, Aces Head Coach Rob Murray announced on Monday.  Courchaine is in his second season with Alaska and leads the club in games played and wins.  The Aces hit the road to begin a three-game weekend in Stockton on Friday night.  They return for their final two home games of the season on March 9 and 10 when they host the Colorado Eagles.  Tickets for those games are on sale now.  For more information, please call the Aces at 907.258.ACES or visi [READ MORE]

ACES BLANK WRANGLERS 5-0

The Alaska Aces finally found the offense they were in search for against the Las Vegas Wranglers, and maintained the defensive style they’ve had all week long.  Alaska got a pair of goals from Garry Nunn and Dan Kissel, and Adam Courchaine made 39 saves on as many shots to lead the Aces to a 5-0 win over the Wranglers Sunday night at Sullivan Arena.  Alaska improved to 36-14-8, on the season, and upped their Western Conference lead to five points over Las Vegas. ALASKA DROPS SECOND STRIAGHT SHOOTOUT 2-1

For the second straight game the Alaska Aces and their top-ranked defense played well enough to earn a victory.  However, for the second straight game the visiting Las Vegas Wranglers squeezed out a narrow shootout victory.  Las Vegas tied the game late in regulation and edged Alaska in a 2-1 extra session win Saturday night in front of a standing-room only, sold out crowd of 6,599 fans at Sullivan Arena.  Alaska picked up points for the fourth straight game, but fell to 35-14-8, on the season.  Alaska now holds a three-point lead over Vegas in the Western Conference rac [READ MORE]

ACES FALL 2-1 IN SHOOTOUT TO WRANGLERS

GOALTENDER JAMES REID ASSIGNED TO ACES

ALASKA CLINCHES PLAYOFF BERTH WITH 9-4 WIN

Wes Goldie and a record-breaking offensive performance led the Alaska Aces past the Bakersfield Condors and into the playoffs with a 9-4 rout Saturday night at the Sullivan Arena.  The Aces improved to 34-14-6, on the season, and became the second fastest team in ECHL history to clinch a playoff berth, securing a post-season spot in their 54th game of the season.  The Aces have now qualified for the playoffs in all nine seasons in the ECHL.  The Aces continue their six-game home stand and finish their three-game series with Bakersfield on Sunday at 5:05pm.  Co [READ MORE]
