ACES BEAT CONDORS 2-1

In their only trip of the season to Bakersfield, the Alaska Aces held off the Bakersfield Condors for a 2-1 win on Friday night form Rabobank Arena.  Alaska is now 10-1 in their last 11 games, and improved their overall record to 15-5 on the season.  The Aces are 4-1 on the road trip, and the trip on Saturday night in Ontario at 5:00pm AKT.  Alaska then returns home on Friday, Dec. 5th to host the Utah Grizzlies. ACES BLOW BY THUNDER 6-2

Alaska Aces forward Nate Thompson scored his first of two goals on the opening shift Wednesday night and the Aces never looked back, racing on for a 6-2 win over the Stockton Thunder in Alaska’s much-anticipated return to the Stockton Arena.  Alaska won for the ninth time in ten games, and improved their record to 14-5 on the season, taking over the ECHL’s top winning percentage.  The Aces finish their road trip with a Friday night trip to Bakersfield and Saturday night trip to Ontario.  Alaska then returns home on Friday, Dec. 5th to host the Utah Grizzlies. ACES WIN 5-4 OT THRILLER IN UTAH

(Photo courtesy of Josie Vimahi, Centerline) Nick Mazzolini forced overtime, scoring with 33.1 seconds remaining, and Zach Harrison scored his first career overtime game-winner, as the Alaska Aces beat the Utah Grizzlies 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night from the Maverik Center in West Valley City, UT.  Alaska won for the eighth time in nine games, upping their record to 13-5 on the season.  They improved to 2-0 in games decided in overtime this year. COLEMAN BACKSTOPS ACES TO 5-1 WIN OVER UTAH IN RETURN

ALASKA’S WINNING STREAK SNAPPED IN 2-1 LOSS AT IDAHO

Rookie goaltender Josh Robinson made 30 saves on 31 shots to help the Idaho Steelheads hold off a late charge and beat the Alaska Aces 2-1 on Wednesday night.  The Aces almost erased a two-goal, third period deficit in the final seconds, but an Aces goal as time expired was waived off when it was ruled that the Aces had used a hand to move the puck across the goal line.  Alaska’s six-game winning streak was snapped, as they fell to 11-5 on the season.  The Aces and Steelheads are now tied atop the Mountain Division standings with 22 points in 16 games.  Alaska continues [READ MORE]

ACES COMPLETE SWEEP OF EAGLES WITH 4-3 WIN

The Alaska Aces started quickly on Saturday night and never looked back as they held off the Colorado Eagles for a 4-3 win in front of another standing room only, sell-out crowd of 6,599 from Sullivan Arena.  The Aces completed their second straight sweep, and extended their winning streak to six games.  They have also won seven straight at home. GOMEZ LEADS ACES TO 4-3 WIN OVER EAGLES

MILITARY APPRECIATION WEEKEND BEGINS FRIDAY

ACES SWEEP WRANGLERS WITH 6-4 WIN

NHL STAR SCOTT GOMEZ SIGNS WITH ACES

Five different Stockton Thunder players scored as the red-hot Thunder beat the Alaska Aces 5-1 in their rematch on Sunday afternoon from Stockton Arena.  The Aces fell to 5-4 on the year and Stockton extended their winning streak to six games and their point streak to a co-league leading eight games.  The Aces continue their five-game road trip next week in Las Vegas with games on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
