HUDSON, COLEMAN LEAD ACES PAST CONDORS 5-1

Alex Hudson’s first career two-goal game and Gerald Coleman’s 30 save performance led Alaska to a 5-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors from the Sullivan Arena on Thursday night.  The win for Alaska was their ninth in the last eleven games and marked the opening of a three-game set with Bakersfield.  Alaska finished a terrific month of February with a 9-1-3 record.  The Aces bettered their ECHL-leading record to 41-12-6.  Alaska extended their lead to seven points ahead of the Ontario Reign for the top spot in the ECHL standings and 11 points ahead of the Idaho Steelh [READ MORE]

COLEMAN, ACES SHUT OUT WRANGLERS 1-0

Gerald Coleman stopped all 23 shots he faced on Sunday, in his return to the Alaska Aces net, and Sean Curry scored the game’s only goal in the second period, as the Aces blanked the Las Vegas Wranglers 1-0 at Sullivan Arena.  The win completed a busy, seven-game stretch in ten days where Alaska went 5-1-1. ALASKA’S POINT STREAK ENDS IN 4-1 DEFEAT TO LAS VEGAS

Mitch O’Keefe made 33 saves and the Las Vegas Wranglers got two goals each from Sean Wiles and Judd Blackwater as the Wranglers beat the Alaska Aces 4-1, snapping the Aces 12-game point streak on Saturday night.  Alaska suffered their first regulation loss since January 25, and their first regulation loss to Las Vegas all season.  The Aces fell to 39-12-6 on the year, but remained three points ahead of the Ontario Reign, who won on Saturday, for the most points in the ECHL. ACES TOP WRANGLERS 3-1 TO EXTEND POINT STREAK

The Alaska Aces rode a four-goal third period to a 5-2 win and a dominating conclusion to their season series with the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday night from the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.  Alaska scored the final five goals in the game, and finished their 14-game series with Utah going 10-3-1, including a 7-0-1 mark on the road. FORMER ACES FORWARD PELUSO MAKES NHL DEBUT

Former Alaska Aces forward Anthony Peluso made his National Hockey League debut Tuesday night for the Winnipeg Jets in a 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.  Along with former ECHL goaltender Darcy Kuemper, they became the 500th and 501st players to play in the National Hockey League after the ECHL.  Peluso skated with the Aces for part of his rookie season, before spending the last three years in the American Hockey League.  This week the Aces travel to Utah for a four-game series against the Grizzlies, [READ MORE]

Alex Imbeault scored his seventh career ECHL hat trick, and fourth with the Alaska Aces on Sunday afternoon, leading the Aces to a 3-1 win, and a three-game weekend sweep of the Stockton Thunder.  The Aces vaulted over the idle Ontario Reign for a league-best 75 points with a 35-11-5 record.  Alaska finished the season series against Stockton with an 8-2 record, and eight straight victories.  Alaska’s point streak reached seven games, marking the second longest stretch this season for the Aces.
