Derek Couture scored twice and Michael Hutchinson made 31 saves to help the Ontario Reign defeat the Alaska Aces, 3-0 before a crowd of 5,072 at Sullivan Arena on Saturday.   Hutchinson forced the Aces, who blanked Ontario 3-0 on Saturday, into their first shutout loss at home all season and the first since March of 2013. Peter Sivak scored twice and goaltender Olivier Roy earned his third shutout of the regular season on 16 saves, lifting the Alaska Aces (18-8-1, 37 points) to a 3-0 victory over the Ontario Reign before a crowd of 5,389 at Sullivan Arena on Saturday.The Aces, who improved to 4-1-0 in their season long eight homestand and ended Ontario’s franchise record nine game road winning streak, broke the scoreless tie with a pair of goals in the second period. Michael Hutchinson made 37 saves including 13 in the third period to help the Ontario Reign fend off the Alaska Aces, 4-2 before 4,492 at Sullivan Arena on Friday.The two teams, entering the game separated by seven points for the top record in the ECHL, met for the first time all season and the Aces erased a 2-0 deficit with back to back goals late in the second and early in the third period (Tim Coffman and Nick Mazzolini). The Alaska Aces (17-7-1, 35 points) ripped off four goals in the first and second period, ending with Anchorage native Brad Gorham’s first career professional goal in an Aces 5-3 victory over the Utah Grizzlies before 4,586 fans at Sullivan Arena on Saturday night.   The Aces entered the holiday break winning their season high fifth straight home game, donning specialty jerseys for a "Hawaiian Night" promotion and benefited off a 26 save effort from Olivier Roy, who won his fourth straight.
