ACES SIGN MORRISON, FINDLAY

The Alaska Aces, proud affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, have signed free agent veteran center Jordan Morrison and rookie left wing Brett Findlay, head coach Rob Murray announced today.The pair of forwards, previously skating with the San Francisco Bulls before the team ceased operations on Jan. 27, join the Aces in the middle of an eight game homestand. The Alaska Aces today announced revisions to their 2013-14 regular season schedule. The Aces will play a total of 71 games (36 home, 35 road) on a schedule revised with the ECHL after it was announced on Monday that the San Francisco Bulls ceased operations immediately.Western Conference playoff seeding, home ice advantage and the awarding of the Brabham Cup (top ECHL regular season record) will be determined by win percentage. ACES TO RETIRE GOLDIE'S #16

The Alaska Aces announced today that Wes Goldie’s number, the ECHL’s all-time leading goal scorer, will be retired on Saturday, Feb. 8 when the Aces host the Stockton Thunder at Sullivan Arena during ECHL Hockey Heritage Weekend presented by CCM.
