With another specialty jersey at the ready, the Alaska Aces battle the Colorado Eagles tonight at Sullivan Arena in the final home game of the regular season schedule. The Aces are 2-4-0 in the head-to-head series this season and are 12-1-0 lifetime against the Eagles at Sullivan Arena. In the last matchup, the Aces defeated the Eagles, 2-1 last evening at Sullivan Arena. The two teams will meet in Anchorage for the final time tomorrow night, followed by three games from Apr. 9-12.

The Aces are wearing a specialty jersey tonight, honoring St. Patrick’s Day. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned, live to fans in attendance following the game. 

LAST GAME:
AK 2 – COL 1 (3/14/14): Connor Knapp made 30 saves and Peter Sivak’s power play goal stood as the game winner in the third period, lifting the Alaska Aces (38-15-5, 81 points) to a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Eagles before 5,365 fans at Sullivan Arena on Friday. Knapp, who earned a victory in his Aces debut while making his first appearance in net since Mar. 1 (vs. Gwinnett), stopped all 13 shots in the third period which included a flurry of Colorado chances in the final minute with goaltender Dustin Butler pulled for an extra attacker. The win also kept the Aces tied for the top win percentage in the ECHL with Ontario (.675).

Nick Mazzolini and Peter Sivak rank 1-2 in ECHL scoring since the turn of the calendar year, combining for 78 points since Jan. 1. On the current season, Sivak is second in league scoring with 70 points in 56 games and Mazzolini is tied for fifth with 60 points in 60 games.
