Ryan Walters scored a power play goal and added two assists while 28 saves by Johan Gustafsson were enough to help the Alaska Aces hold off the Colorado Eagles, 5-4 in a shootout before 4,045 at Sullivan Arena on Friday. Gustafsson stopped Chris Duszynski in the sixth round, following up Colten Hayes’ shootout goal for a win in his Sullivan Arena debut. Jason Bast posted a hat trick and added a pair of assists and the Alaska Aces dropped an 8-5 defeat to the Idaho Steelheads before 4,493 fans at Sullivan Arena on Friday. The Aces, who had not lost in regulation at home for an 11-game span (9-0-2), had the streak snapped by yielding a season high in goals (8) and tied another in shots allowed (44). The Alaska Aces, three-time Kelly Cup champions, announced today that the team has signed goaltender Eric Levine (Leh-VIGHN) to standard player contract (SPC) and that the St. Louis Blues have recalled rookie goaltender Niklas Lundstrom from the Aces to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.   Levine, 26, will suit up for the Aces beginning this Friday, the opener of a nine-game homestand against the Idaho Steelheads beginning at 7:15 p.m. (GCI/KFQD) at Sullivan Arena. The ECHL All-Stars defeated the Orlando Solar Bears 8-4 on Wednesday at Amway Center before 9,288 fans in the 2015 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Visit Orlando.   Olivier Archambault, named to the starting lineup and representing the Alaska Aces for the ECHL All-Stars, scored two goals to help put the game away in the third period. The Alaska Aces, three-time Kelly Cup champions, announced today that the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League have assigned left winger Curt Gogol to the Aces from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.   Gogol, 23, arrives with 172 career games of experience in the AHL with Worcester and Iowa and has collected 25 points and 633 career penalty minutes.
