LOVELAND, COLORADO – Sean Zimmerman scored twice and the Colorado Eagles erased a 2-1 first period deficit defeating the Alaska Aces 5-2 Friday at the Budweiser Events Center. Alaska got off to great start, playing with energy and taking a 1-0 lead on Mitch Jones 3rd goal of the season, a power play goal assisted by Peter Sivak and William Wrenn at 11:48. ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Emil Molin scored twice and goaltender Jack Campbell made 37 saves as the Idaho Steelheads downed the Alaska Aces 3-1 Saturday at the Sullivan Arena. It was the second consecutive regulation loss on home ice for the Aces, who were coming off a 4-0-2 road trip. Molin snapped home a loose puck past Aces netminder Troy Redmann at 6:25 of the first period with assists from Kyle Jean and Shawn Boutin to give Idaho a 1-0 lead. [READ MORE]

Campbell, Steelheads shut out Aces 2-0 Friday

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Idaho goaltender Jack Campbell made 34 saves, and Brandon Trook’s first period goal was all the Steelheads needed in a 2-0 win over the Alaska Aces Friday at the Sullivan Arena. Trook snapped a wrister from the right hash marks at 13:25 of the first period that got through Alaska goaltender Troy Redmann for his first goal of the season. Andrew Carroll got the lone assist. Deluca's shootout goal gives Aces win at South Carolina

NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA – Tony Deluca scored the only goal of the shootout as the Alaska Aces defeated the South Carolina Stingrays 4-3 Sunday at the North Charleston Coliseum. With the shootout win, the Aces completed the six-game road trip with points from every game. Stephen Perfetto gave Alaska a 1-0 first period lead with his 7th goal of the season at the 9:18 mark. Perfetto unleashed a wrist shot from the deep slot that eluded Stingrays goaltender Mark Dekanich on the glove side. The goal was assisted by Justin Breton and William Wrenn. [READ MORE]

Tyler Shiplo gave the Glads a 1-0 lead with a shot from the right point at 2:15. Tyler Murovich made it 2-0 with his 12th goal of the season on a wrap-around at 13:36. Breton's penalty shot goal kickstarts Aces 2-1 win over ATL

DULUTH, GA – Justin Breton scored a penalty shot goal, and Troy Redmann was solid with 32 saves as the Alaska Aces held off the Atlanta Gladiators 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the Infinite Energy Center. Breton’s tally, his 11th goal of the season, came after he was hauled down on a breakaway at 3:19 of the first period. He went to a backhand five-hole on Atlanta goaltender Matt Ginn who got a piece of the shot, but the trickle and subsequent falling of Ginn on the puck helped push it in. [READ MORE]

GWINNETT, GEORGIA – Alaska’s Tim Coffman scored twice in the second period, but the Atlanta Gladiators scored twice in the shootout to take a 3-2 victory over the Aces at the Infinite Energy Center Friday night. Atlanta took a 1-0 first period lead on a goal by Tyler Murovich at 13:55. Aces head outdoors for practice ahead of road trip

The Aces took the game outside Wednesday morning for a final go-round before embarking on an east coast road trip. Coach Rob Murray divided the team into black and white squads. They scrimmaged and generally had a great time on really good ice conditions at the Bonnie Cusack rink outside of the Ben Boeke Arena.
