LOVELAND, COLORADO – Johnny Lazo and Jesse Mychan each scored twice, and goaltender Kris Lazaruk stopped 22 shots as the Colorado Eagles stopped the Alaska Aces 5-2 Saturday at the Budweiser Events Center. The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 6:57 mark of the first period on Ludwig Karlsson’s stuff shot right in front of Aces goaltender Jacob Deserres. Assists to Jesse Mychan and Channing Boe. RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA – Forward Cody Ferriero had one goal and 2 assists and Ryan Misiak scored the game-winner midway through the second period as the Rapid City rush downed the Alaska Aces 3-1 Sunday at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA – Sloppy play by the Alaska Aces gifted the Rapid City Rush a 3-2 win Friday at the Rushmore Civic Center. Peter Sivak got the Aces off to a good start with his 13th goal of the season at 5:41. He and Stephen Perfetto came up the ice on a 2 on 1, and Perfetto gave him a pass in the right circle that Sivak one-timed into the net past Rush goaltender Danny Battochio to make it 1-0. Aces battle back to defeat Allen 5-4 Saturday

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The Alaska Aces lost a 2-0 lead, then came back from a 4-2 deficit to defeat the Allen Americans 5-4 Saturday and take two of the three games in the series. Patrick Wellar scored his first goal of the season and Tommaso Traversa his 14th of the season to give the Aces their 2-0 cushion in the first period. Special teams then bit the Aces as they surrendered a shorthanded goal to Justin Courtnall, then a power play strike by Chris Crane and the period ended 2-2. [READ MORE]

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – Chris Crane had a hat trick and Chris Costello 3 assists as the Allen Americans bounced back from a 5-1 Wednesday defeat to down the Alaska Aces 6-2 Friday at the Sullivan Arena. Casey Pierro-Zabotel gave the Americans a 1-0 lead at 15:08 of the first period with a wrist shot from the blueline that was well-placed, his 11th goal of the season. Aces acquire goaltender Jacob DeSerres from Adirondack

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -The Alaska Aces are pleased to announce the acquisition of goaltender Jacob DeSerres from the Adirondack Thunder for cash considerations. The 25 year old DeSerres, a native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and a 2008 third round NHL draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers, played 10 games earlier this season for the Colorado Eagles before landing in Adirondack. The 6-2, 190 pounder played just one game for the Thunder. To make room for DeSerres, the Aces placed C Tim Coffman on the 21 day IR, and moved goaltender Steven Summerhays to the reserve list.
