Fallon and Boyle Push Peoria Past Rockford

On March 1, the Blues and Blackhawks made a trade that sent Joe Fallon and Daryl Boyle from the Rockford IceHogs to the Peoria Rivermen. On Friday, Boyle scored the game-winning goal and Fallon made 28 saves in a 3-1 Rivermen win at the Rockford MetroCentre. [READ MORE]

Trailing with 3 minutes remaining in regulation, Daryl Boyle (above) scored to force overtime and Julian Talbot notched the game-winner 1:35 into sudden death to give the Peoria Rivermen a 6-5 win over the San Antonio Rampage on Wednesday at the AT&T Center. The Peoria Rivermen trailed the Houston Aeros 2-0 in the opening 10 minutes but rallied to win 4-3 at the Toyota Center on Friday night. Rivermen Announce Clear Day List

The Peoria Rivermen, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, have announced to their 2009-10 Clear Day roster. It is comprised of the maximum 20 players and two goaltenders. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2009-10 AHL regular season and in the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Stars Slip Past Peoria 3-2

The Peoria Rivermen had seven chances on the power play Wednesday night but converted just once in a 3-2 loss to the Texas Stars at Cedar Park Center. The Rivermen held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 but Aaron Gagnon’s goal at 5:26 of the third broke a 2-2 tie to send his team to victory.  Lars Eller (above) stayed hot and extended his point streak to five games.
