Shoots: Left
Born: 02/01/1974 - Thompson, Manitoba Canada
Player Notes
Despite being hampered by a nagging knee injury that led to arthroscopic surgery midway through the season, McCambridge turned in another stellar season in 2004-05, finishing +6 in 56 games while scoring three goals in a single campaign for the first time in six years. The 6-2, 215-pound native of Thompson, Manitoba, also contributed eight assists and showed he had not lost his edge in his 10th pro season, collecting 111 minutes in penalties, fourth-most on the club. Originally an eighth-round draft pick of the Calgary Flames in 1994, the 31-year-old McCambridge later signed with Boston in 1999 and captained the Bruins’ AHL affiliate in Providence before joining the Aces in 2003. His junior career was highlighted by a Memorial Cup triumph with Kamloops (WHL) in 1995. Prior to arriving in Alaska, Keith played exclusively in the AHL or IHL. In his rookie year with Saint John (AHL), Keith helped the Flames reach the semi-finals of the 1996 Calder Cup playoffs. He played four years of junior hockey in Swift Current (WHL), helping lead the Broncos to an appearance in the 1993 Memorial Cup Finals. Keith finished up his final season in the WHL with Kamloops, where he helped the Blazers win the 1995 Memorial Cup with five assists and 49 penalty minutes in 21 playoff games. |
